Sivuääni's traditional Joulu@TAYS Christmas concert in the main lobby of the University Central Hospital on 17 December was a success, as always. The 2024 playlist included instrumental favorites (including Paul Cook's arrangement of Jingle Bell Rock), as well as several with vocals by Kaisa Turunen (including Kees Vlak's Dixieland arrangement of I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus). Sivuääni's 2024 Band Camp (Soittoleiri) was on 17 August at Sahalahti's historic Vilpeilä schoolhouse, featuring guest conductor Antti Nissilä. It was again a great day, full of learning and laughter. Among the pieces on the playlist was Tim Waters' arrangement of Sweet Caroline [edited MP4 video] and [full MP3 audio], always a favorite!
